First Thursday: Fashion Night at the Museum
Step into the museum in your best vintage or throwback fit for an evening that explores fashion as a powerful marker of identity, memory, and cultural history. Throughout the night, move through the galleries with friends and reflect on how style carries social and political meaning across time.
This event invites students to consider the ways clothing and self‑presentation can echo cycles of the past—resistance, resilience, reinvention—and how these themes connect to the exhibition Déjà Vu: The Cycles That Haunt Us. Engage with the museum's artwork, meet new people, and experience the museum as a space for dialogue, creativity, and community.
A photo backdrop will be set up in the Randolph W. Bromery Center for the Arts lobby for students who want to capture their looks.
Co-hosted with the UMass Fashion Organization.
